SULFOLANE
The product is widely used as a multi-purpose solvent. It can be used in desulfurization of natural gas and the purification of the hydrogen in synthetic ammonia production to remove carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfite and organic sulfur. It can also be used as a solvent for extraction of aromatics.
LOW SULFUR DELAYED PETROLEUM COKE
The product can be used to make normal power graphite electrodes in steel-making industry as well as carbon products in aluminium-making industry, it also can be used as carbon products and fuel for chemical industry.

A cooperation agreement reached with a foreign   company on the building up of a phthalic anhydride   plant in the period of the Ninth-Five-Year Plan.
